Malaysian wood is a dark-colored wood widely used in aquariums. It is convenient to brush or boil these trunks so that in this way the aquarium water is stained as little as possible since it tends to turn the water yellow.

Mopani wood is well known by aquarium lovers due to its whimsical shapes that allow real aquatic mangroves to be made. They come from Namibia, from the Colophospermum mopane tree. They have a lighter face and a darker one. When they are introduced into the water, they cloud quite a lot until it passes, at least a month. It is a fairly cheap wood, although it all depends on the length of the trunk and its weight. Always choose shapes that allow you to make good aquatic designs.It is advisable to boil the trunk before introducing it into the aquarium.
