The topic that we are dealing with today and where people have many doubts about is maintenance - How do I have to do it ? Maintenance is very simple. It is very important that the fish do not find out about the water changes that we make, and how do we achieve it? Because by making very small water changes, we must remove a small amount of water and replenish that same amount, and always if possible at the same temperature or at a similar temperature. eye! pay attention to what I said " remove a little water " this is where my clients get confused and leave a little water. NO! It is not the same to remove a little as to leave a little . The changes have to be subtle, not sudden so that they do not notice changes.
They also ask me - How do you feed the fish? . Easy, we always tend to believe that fish are always hungry, the truth is that they are very voracious and this is because they are hunters. Fish do not eat a steak or a chicken, always remember their size, what happens is that their survival instinct forces them to be attentive to any prey. Never, never have food left over. If there is food left over, this, since it is organic, will break down, will stain our water and with the contaminated water we will kill our small pets. I also don't believe that the fish get overwhelmed and die, in fact when they have eaten enough the fish stop eating. Sometimes when people come to my business they give me clues as to what they are doing wrong, for example:
